Why Is the Real Estate Market Down?

When the real estate market slows, it’s often due to higher interest rates limiting affordability and fewer buyers being able to qualify for loans. In my experience, markets naturally cool after periods of rapid growth — sellers adjust expectations, and buyers take a pause to reassess budgets. Media headlines sometimes exaggerate these cycles, but in reality, the fundamentals of demand remain strong. Economic uncertainty and inflation can also temporarily suppress activity, but real estate has always proven to rebound once stability returns.
